Priestess Claudia Williams

Reverend Priestess Claudia Williams co-owns Starling Magickal Occult Shop, along with her husband, Jan Spacek. Established in 1995, Starling is the oldest shop dealing with all occult practices in New Orleans. Williams also leads The Temple of The Altar-Native Star in New Orleans along with her brother, Reverend Priest Phillip Humphreys. Both work as professional psychics and occultists and have each done so for about twenty-five years. The temple is an eclectic teaching oriented temple which often hosts rituals allowing the public to experience what real Vodou and other ceremonies “are and are not,” as she likes to say.

Ms. Williams grew up in New York City in an area that was a Barrio when she was a child. Her family background includes New England Witchcraft and Occultism, Latin-American spiritual practices and Native American traditions. Her personal practice is largely in Native American traditions, Thelema and particularly the New Orleans or “American” Vodou tradition. She also investigates paranormal cases and lives and works in a notoriously haunted French Quarter building. Williams has a specialty in forensic psychic work. She has assisted various law enforcement agencies and families of victims of crime find details that help explain exactly what took place.

Ms. Williams has spoken at numerous conventions and written many articles and books on occult subjects including, “Haunted Spaces, Public Places” about hauntings which she has investigated in New Orleans' French Quarter and “Manifesting Magick with Veves and Sigils” on Left Hand Press. She has several books due out in 2018 and 2018 including a follow up to “Manifesting Magick with Veves and Sigils” and a book on identifying and removing various entities from homes/spaces. She is available for consultations by contacting Starling Magickal Occult Shop, 1022 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA. 504-595-6777.
