Most magicians and witches are interested in plants, trees, herbs, and flowers; as much as they are interested in the natural world around them. Herbs hold a special place in our hearts because of their use in antiquity and the classical history of herbs in magic. Tasteless poisons, love philters, fertility tinctures, aphrodisiac powders and pastilles of hallucinogenic flying visions; the herbs hold the power of the witch. The herbs hold our imaginations. In this workshop Elie will take you through the processes of choosing herbs and creating spells. The purpose of a magic spell needs to be simple and direct. Herbs need to be chosen because of their known corresponding properties and qualities. If a collection of herbs is used in a spell, they need to be sympathetic and properly responsive to one another. The best application and preparation of the plant material needs to be aligned with the chemical properties of the plant powers.
