The burning bush is not in the desert. It's in your head. God talks to people. Magic is real.

We've become reticent in the modern magical community to lay claim to the religious heart of our Mysteries. We tiptoe around the topic of faith, of the reality of the Gods, of the spiritual nature of the Great Work. We don't want to offend and we don't want to build fences. We can snag a lover with our magic, curse the neighbors, and improve our finances (all before dinner!) but we wring our hands about taking the plunge of connecting to the Divine in our work. We talk about our Gods in carefully chosen words that make us palatable to the non-believer. By ceding ground to milquetoast secular magic, we may think we are building a less offensive or a more genteel Craft but we are actually forfeiting the holy fire that burns at the altars of our paths.

In this workshop, we're going to explore what it means to serve the Gods in our magic. What is at the heart of the Mysteries? Where are our altars? Participants will focus on:

  • Finding Deity: gods, pantheons, and the power of names.
  • Prayer, Meditation and Pathworking: speaking to (and with) the Divine.
  • Ecstasy and Transcendence: chant, dance, wine, and letting go of fear.
  • Initiation, Traditions, and the Cult: plunging into a path, choosing a teacher, and making a commitment.

In this workshop we will breakdown the walls that sometimes come up between a strong magical practice and the magic of self-transformation and connection to God that lies behind it (and within it).

The Gods are real. And they're waiting.
